The first annual East Van Summer Jam will take place tomorrow at Strathcona Park.
Vancouver鈥檚 The Boom Booms will be headlining the event and giving away copies of a limited edition East Van Summer Jam Mixtape to the first 1,000 attendees through the gates. In addition to live performances, there will be basketball and soccer tournaments, a skateboarding demonstration, as well as food trucks.
The initiative behind the event is to raise money for The Music Tree鈥檚 local and international programs as well as celebrating the community of East Vancouver. Other local artists in the line-up include BESTiE, Elastic Bond, The New Royales, The Rascalz, Heatwave, and Ta鈥檏aiya Blaney.
Gates open at 1:00pm with the music beginning at 2:00pm. Tickets are $25.00 ahead of the event, and $30.00 at the door. For more information on the event, head over to their Facebook event page.
